I would like to translate or adapt the interface for my personal use

You just need to edit a single text file located in your installation folder and
identifiable by the extension *.lng (e.g: english.lng, spanish.lng)

To edit the language file you can use Notepad or, if you prefer a more sophisticated
environment with integrated translation memory, you can easily work it out with WebBudget
XT, our localization suite.

Steps

• Open the language file in your editor

• Read the translation notes inserted in the file header. Basically you need to translate
  the text located to the right of the = signs and respect those strings marked as
  non-editable.

• Save the file with the desired name in the same folder as the original.

• Run freebudget, go to the Language menu, select your file and see the results. You are ready.

to ensure a minimum quality, we require that you be an accredited translator. Please
send us your file and some verifiable information about your accreditation at [email protected].
We will publish your language file with the corresponding credits (your name and
contact address or website)

I you meet the requirements described above, please contact us at [email protected] to receive

a localization package (language files + help files-HTML format + localization
guidelines).

We will publish your work and give you the corresponding credits for it.
